I belive that is what you all think about dancing tango in Norway. Bunch of tall, handsome blond ascendents of Vikings wearing iceskates instead of tango shoes. No, we do not do that.
I am a great fan of vintage and second-hand clothing. I always connect with people who are not wearing typical tango clothes but they put together their outfits of old, second - hand or self made clothes. During the festival there will be a space where you will be able to leave one piece of your tango clothing and sell it or give it away. There won’t be stands with brand new tango clothes to buy.
The pictures shows fashion “Must have” when Oslo was called for Kristiania, between 1897 - 1924. I know one tango dancer who wouldn’t say “No” to that fancy pipe.
